On Wednesday 19th of June, Carragh and Emily from P6 accompanied Miss Cassidy to a very special awards ceremony at Stranmillis University College, Belfast. It was the 30th Anniversary of Eco-Schools NI and there was a whole day of activities planned.
We started off with the presentation of the awards, with many special guest speakers. These included representatives from Keep NI Beautiful, FEE and Kids Against Plastic.
Next, we had a lovely lunch before exploring some of the exhibitions and stalls.
Finally, we embarked on a lovely nature walk around the beautiful grounds, where we identified different plant species and did some minibeast hunting.
We had a brilliant day, made even better by the beautiful weather.
